Inventory Control
In order to increase control over inventory, Avellino’s needs to use their POS System to its full potential. The system is capable of keeping track of inventory on hand by simply inputting new inventory amounts when a shipment arrives. This software will then decrease the recorded inventory amount every-time a sale of that item is made. When the inventory reaches a designated level, the system informs the user that inventory is low. This allows inventory to be frequently reviewed without needing to manually count the items. This doesn’t require an upgrade in hardware or software, rather better utilization of current equipment.

This will prevent stock-outs as well as overstocking on inventory.


Social Media Integration

To capitalize on the rising marketing and business opportunities in social media, we recommend that Avellino's integrate SNAP software into their POS system. Social Network Application Platform allows businesses to engage customers by rewarding them for in-store purchases with the use of loyalty rewards, leaderboards and badges. At the same time SNAP helps promote Avelinno's with automated check-ins to the customer's social media sites when they conduct a transaction.

SNAP Process

1.  A customer's purchase is scanned into Avellino's POS system along with the customer's loyalty card.

2.   The transaction is sent to the SNAP software.


3. The software automatically posts a check-in on the customer's Facebook or Twitter stating that the customer was at the restaurant.

4. Points are than automatically transferred to the customers loyalty card which can be used at a later visit for discounts or free food.   

5. Finally, Avellino's can log into SNAP and view statistics and reports on how many customer transactions happened daily and what their reach was on social media sites. 





Benefits

Allows users to check-in or post preconfigured messages to their social media websites such as Facebook or Twitter. This is great marketing for Avellino's as it lets all of the customers social media friends see every time the user visits the restaurant and read how they feel about it.                
                             

Leaderboards are a great way to create a fun competition between customers. With the leader at the end of each month receiving a free meal, this generates buzz that causes customers to visit Avellino's on a higher than average scale. 

Reports are an useful way to see how effectively the loyalty rewards program is working, how many people are being reached through social networks and which demographics Avellino's should focus its marketing on.
